Historical Demolition: Out with Old and In with the New

New Tom Benson Chevrolet Building

Well, we finally had to say goodbye to our historic Tom Benson Chevrolet building.

It was a bittersweet moment when that giant tractor claw bashed into the roof. There are so many years of memories in that building. It was completed in 1968. That means 43 years of selling cars, satisfying customers, and of course, playing practical jokes on each other.

It's sad to see the rubble where the building once stood. Still, there are 3 reasons why we are happy to say goodbye.

1.) New Dealership

We are paving the way to build a new dealership. It is going to be more modern and there is going to be more parking spaces. More importantly, it's rumored that there is going to be a smoothie, hamburger, and hot dog bar inside. Who doesn't love that?

2.) Construction Sale!

Yep, there's is dust blowing around from the demolition and construction but there is still good news. Every month we have to reduce our 80% of our inventory to make room for construction and the new building.

In short, deals, deal, deals!

You can check them out on our main website.

3.) Watching the Demolition

It was fun watching them claw down the old showroom. Nothing is more entertaining than rubble, dust, toppling columns and collapsing roofs. Here is some footage of the demolition below. TIMBER!
